Sealing of access covers from the spool up
to 225°C and 25 bar


GORE-TEX® DK 401 gasket tape has been specially designed for use in internally sealed access covers on hot water boilers, pressure chambers and steam boilers.


This gasket tape which is dispensed from the spool has been subjected to component testing and has been certified for test class “c“ in accordance with the VdTÜV instructions “Dichtung 100“ or the Technical Rules for Steam Boilers (TRD) 401, Appendix 1.
The term “for use in internally sealed access covers” means use up to 225°C and 25 bar steam.
GORE-TEX® gasket tape DK 401 is supplied by the metre on spools, enabling it to be used anywhere irrespective of material and cover sizes.
Having to stock up with gaskets for different sizes of covers is now a thing of the past.

GORE-TEX® Series 300
Gasket tape

Low overall costs for reliable and quick sealing of large flanged joints.

GORE-TEX® Series 300 gasket tape optimises plant availability where metal equipment flanges have to be reliably sealed. It is easy to install and can be formed in place in any flange shape without leaving expensive material scrap.
TGORE-TEX® Series 300 gasket tape is the ideal choice for reliably sealing equipment flanges. Made from 100% virgin PTFE with its fibrils set in a multidirectionally oriented fibrous structure during processing, it combines outstanding sealing properties with great production efficiency. Both its high sealing reliability and excellent pressure resistance make the GORE-TEX® Series 300 gasket tapes a real alternative to cut gaskets. Moreover, the user benefits from the advantages of a sealing solution supplied on a spool. Irrespective of the flange shape this gasket tape can be installed simply and is very often a more cost efficient solution. Expensive material scrap on site, long delivery times for customised gaskets and the need to hold large stocks of gaskets are things of the past.

After compression the initially soft and highly conformable material forms a very tight seal. The strong multidirectionally oriented fibrils provide outstanding creep resistance, thus guaranteeing a reliable, long-lasting seal over a very wide range of processes.

GORE-TEX® Series 600
Gasket tape

Protection against chemical attack for reliable and rapid sealing of large flanged joints.

GORE-TEX® Series 600 gasket tape is the sealing solution on a spool for flanged joints on glass-lined equipment. Unlike most PTFE envelope gaskets, GORE-TEX® Series 600 gasket tape is not subject to chemical attack and thus provides a reliable and long-lasting seal which is quick to install because it is dispensed from a spool.
GORE-TEX® Series 600 gasket tape is the ideal choice for sealing flanged joints on glass-lined steel equipment. Made from 100% virgin PTFE with its fibrils set in a multidirectionally oriented fibrous structure during processing, this gasket tape provides outstanding chemical resistance. Sealing problems caused by both internal and external aggressive media are things of the past. During compression the gasket conforms perfectly to the imperfections typical of glass-lined flange surfaces whilst maintaining its width thanks to its multidirectional orientation. Any irregularities exceeding one millimetre are compensated simply by overlaying extra layers of gasket tape.
This timesaving installation and the shimming procedures available to deal with larger irregularities enable the plant to be put back into operation as soon as installation is complete.
Productivity can thus be improved because the plant is available more quickly with the risk of a shutdown being minimised.

Universal pipe gasket

For all standard flanges

GORE Universal pipeline sealing (Style 800) can be used in all standard flanges in the chemical industry. Designed to meet the requirements for reliable sealing of all flange types, they are primarily ideally suited for standardising gasket materials across the whole range of flange systems: steel flanges, glass-lined steel flanges and plastic flanges.



The Style 800 gasket combines the exceptionally high resistance of pure PTFE with the excellent mechanical properties of expanding PTFE combined with extremely low leakage rates. Thanks to its structure the gasket exhibits markedly reduced creep resistance with the lowest possible stress-to-seal. This enables glass-lined steel and plastic flanges to be reliably sealed as well as steel flanges.

To sum up the GORE Universal pipe gasket (Style 800) possesses three outstanding properties: excellent flexibility, sealing at very low bolt forces and a long service life.

Temperature stability: -240 up to +270°C
Physiologically harmless: Physiologically harmless in continuous high temperature use up to +260°C in accordance with VDI/VDE guidelines 2480. The requirements in accordance with FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 (PTFE) are complied with.
